Way More Than A Dog Breeder!
Where It All Started
Here at Prairie Grace Farm we are way more then a dog breeder! We dedicate ourselves to giving our puppies a great start in life! We breed standard Goldendoodles and are located near Peoria Illinois. I started breeding dogs 3 years ago. My first dog was a Golden Retriever named Shelley. I am 14 and am saving for college. I also just LOVE dogs, and breeding dogs has always been my dream! My Golden Retriever has had three litters of adorable Goldendoodles (she currently has a litter of F1 Goldendoodles). We have six acres for our dogs to run and play on. Our puppies are socialized by my five siblings and are raised in our basement “puppy room”. We do ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation),"manding”(teaching the puppies manners), and they are socialized every day. We also have different floor textures, tunnels, other dogs, and crates for crate training. We use a potty tray system that will help owners with potty training latter on in life. We prize our family raised and socialized puppies!
About the breed
In the beginning we intended to breed Golden Retrievers, but for various reasons, our first litter was a Goldendoodle litter… And we fell in LOVE with the breed. Our Goldendoodles are about fifty to ninety pounds (they average about sixty), so they can go on a long walk with you, or curl up by the fire. They are not aggressive so they are good with children and other dogs. They are very much “people dogs,” and are happy as long as they’re hanging out with their human! They enjoy playing “tug o’ war” or just sitting next to you getting pets. When you go for a walk with a Goldendoodle you’re going to get comments; with their loving, trusting eyes, and soft curly coat they just melt your heart and are bound to catch anyone’s eye! We love combining the Golden Retriever temperament and ever trusting loyalty, with the Poodle intelligence and non-shedding, colorful coat.
